So I recently replaced a leaky tap and I want to show you how. Leaky here means that the tap handle was leaking and water was coming out in different directions. My mum bought the tap and told me how, then I tried it and it worked. So simple! All I used were a pair of scissors, hemp seal, and a new tap.
How To
First, I turned off the main supply of water at the back of the house. Very important.
I force turned the old tap to remove it from the pipe. I then wrapped the hemp seal around the mouth of the new tap, inserted it into the pipe and turned it till firm and fixed. Voilà !
And that’s all. Easy! The hemp seal secures the tap into the pipe and makes sure there’s no leakage.
